Set Free

‘Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,’ Hebrews 12:1

Choices, we have choices to make! God has provided everything that we need. He has done everything that had to be done, in order for us to be holy and blameless in His sight. God has done what we could not do, yet we have to do something. We have to make choices.

The choice here in this verse is, ‘to lay aside every encumbrance and sin.’ That is everything that gets in our way that hinders our relationship with God. It is not only sin, but I would suggest that it is the things of everyday life that we might worry about. It is actually the worry of those things that we should lay aside. Work, family, money, food, clothes, life! The worry of these things as well as sin.

When we worry about things it entangles us, just as much as sin does. Sin entangles us by making us feel guilty, and ashamed. Unworthy and afraid to be in the presence of God. Some will call this the conviction of the Holy Spirit, It is actually the condemnation of our own hearts. It messes with our minds, and distracts us from the truth of how God views us. It is actually selfishness, we are thinking of ourselves, and our view of God becomes distorted. We get bound up in our own thoughts, unable to understand God’s thoughts.

‘We will know by this that we are of the truth, and will assure our heart before Him in whatever our heart condemns us; for God is greater than our heart and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God;’ 1 John 3:19-21

Entangled in this verse from Hebrews, sounds like trying to run through a field of long grass. It is difficult and we trip and fall. So it is saying run on the path, steer clear of those things that will wrap us up and hinder our progress. It is really impossible to run in a field of long grass up to the thighs. When we sin or worry about things we cannot run the race set before us.

Another way to look at this, Sin and worry become a barrier that stops us seeing ourselves as God sees us. We have been set free from the power of sin and death. Jesus won the victory for us. Through faith in Him God has made us righteous. Just because we mess up every now and then does not mean that we are not righteous.

It is because we are born of the Spirit and have the indwelling of the Spirit, we are able to lay aside every encumbrance and sin. The Spirit gives us the power, and the authority to do this.We should not be beating ourselves up when we make a mess or sin. God says put it aside, and enter into my presence. There are consequences to sin, I think that they become bigger or deeper because we fail to lay aside every sin as quickly as we should.

We have been set free from the power of sin over us, we have the victory through Jesus, sin no longer has dominion over us unless we let it. Lay it aside and run.

The Name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous RUN into it and are saved!

This scripture does not say confess your sin but to lay it aside. I would suggest it is like this, When we go into a church meeting we put our sin down outside, and enter in free, because we have been set free. We have to make sure that we do not take it up again on the way out.confessing our sin can be a part of laying it down. For the most when the bible talks about confessing sin, it is talking about confessing to another person, not to God. It is talking about our relationships with each other.

That is laying it aside. When we sin against another person we should ask them for forgiveness, they then have the opportunity to forgive and be forgiven. The Lord has already forgiven every sin even before we commit it. He forgave us the day that Jesus’ life was sacrificed as payment for our sin. That was before we had the chance to confess our sin.

There is only one place in the whole of the Bible that can be interpreted as confessing our sin to God, in 1 John 1, but if taken in context of the whole of the chapter, in fact the whole book, it is talking about our relationships with one another. We are told to repent, turn away from sin, but God does not require us to confess our sin to Him in order to be forgiven.

‘but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.’ 1 John 1:7-9

Here it talks about fellowship with one another as part being cleansed from all sin, and unrighteousness. Jesus taught that we should forgive each other as a part of being forgiven by God. The letter of 1 John is about relationships and having love for each other. Not forgiving is a huge encumbrance that gets in the way of our relationship with God. Jesus told us that the world will know that we are His disciples by the love that we have for each other.

David talks about confessing his sin to the Lord in the psalms and Kings, if we read how this came about in Kings. There is something interesting that nobody that I have heard preaching about this has ever mentioned. David declares that He has sinned against God. The story goes that He committed adultery with Uriah’s wife then had Uriah murdered. David said I have sinned against God! That is one interesting point. He did not declare that he had sinned against any person, only against God. Then he said, “I will confess my sin to God.”

Two things, He sinned against God, and he chose to confess to God. David, once it was pointed out to him what he had done, was remorseful. His heart was condemning him. His heart was broken and contrite. So he confessed his sin against God, to God. As I pointed out before that Jesus taught, if we sin against someone then we should go to that person and confess.

The biggest thing I see in this story of David is this; Nathan revealed to David his sin, and also told David not to worry as God had already forgiven him of the sin. It was after David knew that he was forgiven that he decided that he should confess his sin to God. God’s grace at work under the old covenant. We are under a new covenant, a better covenant with better promises. If David did not have to confess his sin to receive forgiveness, before Chist paid for his sin, nor do we have to go before God to confess in order to be forgiven.

I know that there will be some who will choke at this. Just answer this question, When did God forgive your sin, the sin of the world. It was the day that the penalty was paid. Jesus died on the cross, as that one and only sacrifice to take away the sin of the world. The only sin that has not been forgiven is the sin of rejecting the price that Jesus paid with the shedding of His blood.

Here is a thought, why did David say that he had sinned against God? Could the answer be, because it was told to him that God had forgiven him? God did not say to David go and make restitution for what he had done wrong. David did recognise his sin, then Nathan told David that his sin had been taken away, that David would not die. It is after this that David wrote the psalm 51.

‘The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; A broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.’ Psalms 51:17

I have heard many preachers expound the need to be broken by God, using this Psalm. It does not say that we have to be broken if we sin and come before God. It was not God that broke David, it was his own heart, his own conscience that made him feel bad in the presence of God. What David is actually saying here, it does not matter how big the sin is, God does not want a blood sacrifice. This is a prophecy about the future redemption through Jesus. David is saying that it does not matter how bad we feel when we fail, God will not turn us away.

When our hearts condemn us, when our consciences tell us that God is not pleased with us, that He will not want to hear from us. That is not the truth, that is the place that we have become broken. That is the point that our hearts are contrite. God says that He will not turn us away. There will be many voices that tell us differently; both from in our head and from others. They are wrong. They will tell you that you have confess, and pour out your heart and beg God to forgive. That is not what the Word of God tells us.

God forgave our sin without us confessing before we were even born. God knew us and knew everything that we would do. He forgave everything when Jesus died. We choose to not sin, live a life of sin. When we do stumble in some way. The Holy Spirit is there to pick us up, dust us off and lead us and teach us the way that we should go.

Climate Change V’s Act Of God Pt2

A question, Really, what is man made climate change? To understand the truth of this, we need to go back to the beginning. In the beginning God gave authority over the earth, and all that is in it to Man. think about that for a minute. God told Adam to rule over the earth and subdue it.

‘God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:28

When we study what happened through sin entering into the world, we see that it is not man who is ruler of the world, because, man, Adam handed that authority over to Satan. Jesus clearly states that the ruler of this world is the Devil. That He has Judge the ruler of this world.

and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged. John 16:11 NASB1995

Jesus came to destroy the works of the Devil. The works of the Devil is the authority that he has over mankind, and this world. To restore authority over this world and our circumstances to man. WE no longer need to be ruled by the world forces of this darkness, and spiritual wickedness in high places. Through Jesus we have the victory. Though it is a victory that we have to take; we have to claim, and stand in.

Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. James 4:7 NASB1995

The Bible clearly tells us that the responsibility for not being influenced and ruled by the Devil, the wicked spiritual forces; is on us we Have to resist then he will flee. We have to take up the armour of God. Jesus has defeated the Devil for us, taken away the power that he had over us but the devil is still in authority over the world and all those who do not stand in the truth of what Jesus has done.

The Word of God also tells us some things that are going to happen in the world. Things that are being labelled as extreme weather events caused by manmade global warming. Earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, Fires.

They are saying that the polar ice caps are melting, when God created the world in the first place there were not any polar ice caps. So the earth in some ways, could be deemed to be returning to its original state!

As I was reading through the book of Revelation I came across some things related to what they say is happening to our world. How much we can apply them to what is happening to the world today is up for debate. But they do show that because of the attitudes of man, influenced by the Devil what will happen to our world.

They are or will be ACTS OF GOD!

The fourth angel poured out his bowl upon the sun, and it was given to it to scorch men with fire. Men were scorched with fierce heat; and they blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues, and they did not repent so as to give Him glory.’ Revelation 16:8-9,20-21

‘And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And huge hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, *came down from heaven upon men; and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, because its plague *was extremely severe.’ Revelation 16:20-21

Islands fled away. Is this not rising sea levels? The Sun scorching men with fierce heat, That must be extreme global warming. Things that we are being warned about, that will happen if we do not change our ways. It has  everything to do with the influence of the spiritual forces of the world. The same forces that are lying to the world that we, mankind, are destroying the world by using fossil fuels.

We are supposedly polluting the earth’s atmosphere with CO2 emissions, causing global warming. I read somewhere that there is one forest in Greenland that is capable of dealing with, absorbing, all of the CO2 emissions that are currently being made by man.

‘For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water, through which the world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water. But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,’ 2 Peter 3:5-7,10-11

History shows us that the ice age happened about 4000 years ago. It was after the flood of Noah. It was caused by movement of the land into the continents, the world as we know it now. The cleaving of the waters below the earth’s crust and movement of the tectonic plates that caused many volcanoes to be formed and erupt. All of the emissions from the volcanoes blocked out the sun from warming the earth for a period of time.

I could go much deeper into this and the things, or truths about the earth, that evolutionists, with the wisdom of this world, do not want us to know or understand. Suffice to say that we have evolved enough to do damage to the earth, and recognise that we need to change our ways.

‘Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing.’ James 3:13-16

I know that this scripture is not talking about evolution as such, but it does say that earthly, natural wisdom, can be demonic. There are other scriptures that back this up. Telling us not to rely upon the wisdom of the world, but to put our trust, out faith in the Word of God.

The idea/ideal of saving this planet for the future generations is like starting a false religion, with the earth as the idol to worship. This goes along with many other things of the wisdom of the world; things within the realm of political correctness, as far as race and gender are concerned, and other things too.

The wisdom of the world will do all it can to corrupt the truth of God. Ignore the truth of God, distract us from the truth of God. It is psycho;ogical warfare, a  battle for our minds, our way of thinking. It is a, pulling at our heartstrings, getting us to feel guilty about what is happening to the earth around us.

Remember the scientist telling us that we were destroying the Ozone layer around the earth. That it was causing global warming. I have read that the Ozone has all but repaired itself. In about 20 years yet we are putting more pollution into the atmosphere than ever before. The truth is that the earth is quite capable of sustaining itself with all that man has to do here. God designed it that way.

The end of the world as we know it is coming, but not in the way that the world predicts. It will come because of the corruption of sin in the world. A corruption that will turn a large part of the population of the world against God, and the Lord Jesus, to the extent that they will go to war against God. The blood of those will flow so deep.

‘So the angel swung his sickle to the earth and gathered the clusters from the vine of the earth, and threw them into the great wine press of the wrath of God. And the wine press was trodden outside the city, and blood came out from the wine press, up to the horses’ bridles, for a distance of two hundred miles.’ Revelation 14:19-20

It still amazes me that the more of the wisdom of the world that I hear, the more it is against God and the salvation that Jesus purchased for every living person. It is a neglect of the great salvation. People don’t want to be saved, but they think that they will become justified by saving the earth. People have become misguided and deluded by the lies of the Devil.

As God’s chosen people we are supposed to stand out from the crowd, influenced by the wisdom of the world, not run with them and support what the world tells us. The world has become clever in aligning its wisdom with some biblical principles, in order to persuade us as believers that its reasoning is sound.

The truth is this. When this earth is done with, mankind influenced by the Devil have rebelled against our Lord to the end. To the day of judgement. God says that there will not only be a new earth, but a new Heaven too. When  He has dealt with the beast and his cohorts, tossed them into the lake of fire. That he can no longer be a threat to God’s children, God will restore Heaven and Earth to how it was meant to be from the beginning of creation.

‘Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them , and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.” And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And He *said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.” ‘ Revelation 21:1-5

This is the truth that we should be clinging to, not the lies about climate change and global warming.

That is a bit of a rant, I know, but the truth is the truth.

Have faith in God!

Clmate Change V’s Acts Of God

Climate Change Verses Acts Of God!!

Who remembers when bad weather used to be called an act of God. A lightning strike was an act of God. An earthquake, an act of God. A tidal wave, an act of God. A heatwave, an act of God. It was accepted that these things and more, were considered an act of God. It was even mentioned in insurance policies.

I am amazed at how the world has become enlightened, and decided that these things are no longer acts of God, but are actually acts of man. I have never really accepted these things as acts of God anyway. More due to the sin that is in the world affecting the world. Way back when Adam committed sin and handed authority over this world to the Devil, is when sin began to affect and infect this world.

Many Christians have been led into the lies about Global warming and manmade climate change. The lie that the use of fossil fuels is causing the excess of co2 in the atmosphere, that is warming up the planet. Our planet has been warming and cooling many times over for thousands of years, since sin began its effect upon mankind and the world.

For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body. Romans 8:19-23

This verse clearly states that the whole of creation suffers pain, not just mankind. This also tells us that the solution to the pains that earth, as part of creation, is the revealing of the sons of God. the real reason that the earth is going through pains of childbirth, is the slavery to to corruption. This corruption has a lot to do with the wisdom of the world. Which in these days more than any other time in history.

God’s Word, in Philipians, tells us to be anxious for nothing, Jesus told us out of His own mouth not to worry. That we cannot add even the slightest to our lifespan through worry. In fact God’s Word tells us that we can extend our lives through faith. I remember talking to an 84 year old missionary to India three years ago, who was on His way back to the mission field, a week later. There is no such thing as retirement in the kingdom of God. Moses worked for God till the day of His death, 120 years old.

Jesus told us many thing  about when the end will come for this world, it is in the hands of the Father. Jesus said that only the Father knows. It is, I would say, the only thing that the Father has not shared with Jesus the Son. )one of the things that will mark the coming end of our is something that the prophet Isaiah said. People come to the point of  saying that what is bad is good and what is good is bad. This is the underlying truth about political correctness in many things.

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20

Saying that things that were considered so bad at one time, and were against the law; The law that was built upon biblical principles; are now to be accepted as good. Not only that, but we can be persecuted, arrested and sent to prison for speaking up and standing up for the biblical principles that say what is right and wrong.

There are many false prophecies being spread about what will happen to the earth if we do not take action to slow down global warming, climate change. The ruler of this world, is influencing the people of this world to prophesy doom and gloom. Using our children as a bargaining tool. ‘We have to protect the planet from what we are doing to it, FOR OUR CHILDREN.” for future generations.

Does this next verse warn about climate  change and rising tides? I see that it says perplexity among nations at the roaring of the sea. Perplexity? That means confusion, or misunderstanding, and fear. God’s word says that things are going to come upon the earth and men will faint for fear of them. That fear is now being promoted so much now in this climate change debate. Our children, and there children will not have a livable world unless we do something now

“There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Luke 21:25-26

That is all for now

Global Warming Lie

Global Warming Lie

I have to blog about this as it is getting too much to listen to all of the garbage that is being talked on the subject. There is much so much that I could say on this issue. I wish to stick to a Godly, biblical view of Global warming. I know that the Bible does not use the phrase global warming. It is twentieth century invented phase, as is the whole concept of man-made global warming. Global warming and cooling have been going on for about 4000 years. It has nothing to do with greenhouse gas emissions, CO2 emissions or whatever else the people are saying.

First a statement that will shock most people living today; The world, the earth as a liveable planet is not much more than 6000 years old. For the first 2000 years until the flood of Noah’s time, the climate was perfect everywhere. There were no polar ice caps.

As this was the case then, with no danger to man, the only danger to man with the ice caps melting is that rising sea levels will intrude on some places in the world where man has made his home. Why? Because for the most man has chosen to build near to water, because it is nice to live near the sea or by a river.

I would guess that the reasoning originally was it was not far to go to get water to drink, or wash, and wash our clothes. Even Jesus had a lake front House, (Matthew 4:13-15) This obsession of building by the water is what has been the cause of flooding of homes.

The reason for flooding is that we as humans desire to build homes close to water. It is a known truth that the homes that flood, are built in what are called flood plains. So why are we so shocked that sometimes it rains so much that the flood plains flood? It has been happening for thousands of years, not just the last 50 years.

It has nothing to do with global warming. If you want to blame mankind, it is because of sin in the world! That is another story.

There may well be global warming but has nothing to with man’s endeavours upon the earth. What we do may have a small impact, but it is very small. There are more CO2, and greenhouse gas emissions from forest fires, and volcano eruptions than man could ever create. Yet some people say that we are harming the planet by eating beef. Creating too many animals that give of greenhouse gases. ause

That is nothing more than something to laugh at, because if the animal were not farmed and killed for meat, they would just reproduce and over and over. There would be so many more creating more greenhouse gases. Eating beef, is actually reducing greenhouse gases.

Back to the weather now. They! Call it extreme weather conditions. Give me a break! I lived in a little town in Leicestershire UK. One October day/night it rained like I have never seen it rain before. The town Market Harborough, built in the River Welland Valley flooded. The swimming pool where I worked was made into what looked like a pool full of mud, that had washed down from the hills around.  This was about the year 2000, maybe 2001.

I had never seen this amount of rain before in the town, even though there were ongoing flooding issues in the town since the Middle Ages, maybe before that. Nothing to do with man-made global warming.

I think the worst thing about all of this so called man-made global warming rubbish, is that our children are being brainwashed into believing the lies. We cannot do anything about the changing temperatures of our world. We are not destroying our world for future generations.

God says in His Word that the Earth will come to an end because of the evil that corrupts man, that there will be a war against this evil, that will be defeated once and for all. Then it says that God will create a new Heaven and a new Earth. God knows the earth as we know it will end. It will end at the predetermined time that God has set, because of man’s rebellion against Him. Man will take up arms to fight against God’s will for us.

After that we are told that Jesus will reign for a thousand years, before the new Heaven and new Earth. Yet we are constantly bombarded with doom and gloom messages about what we are doing to the Earth. As a Christian it just makes no sense. There will be more pollution of the earth by the waste produced by not using fossil fuels, than a thousand years of using fossil fuels. God place on this Earth everything that we need or will ever need.

He knew that we would need coal, and oil, so when the Earth was flooded, He left behind the stuff that would turn into coal and oil. There is enough to last us until the end of this world, which will not end until God decides.

That will do for now, Blessing in the Lord.

Covid, To Jab or not to Jab

There is someting wrong in our world, something wrong with information that we are being given about Covid and the vaccines. This is nothing new I am sure you will tell me. The mixed up Info began last year with the advent of Covid 19.

At first we were told that the main way of transmission was through touch. Touching things that had been contaminated by someone else. The main reason for this is that is is a resipiritory disease. At the beginnig I researched this, and on a few scientific sites they back up this as the main way of transmittining both the common cold and the flu.

Then someone came up with the idea, of cutting transmission by wearing masks. I can understand this idea, as visus is spread by people sneezing and coughing onto hands then touching things that someone else goes on to touch. If we think about it this has to be the reason that the virus has spread so quickly, from country to country. People with virus at airports push doors, hold hand rails on stairs and escelators, pay with money. use cashpoint machines. It used to be said that the passing of money from person to person was the fastest way to pass on colds and flu. I have always useD antibacterial hand gel went I went through airports for at least the last twenty years, and never caught anything.

I have known for years that the easiest way to catch a cold or flu was to be inside with people who have a cold or flu. Though until last year when I checked this out, I thought that the virus was mainly airborn. So I was surprised to find out that touching infected surfaces transmitted the viruses nore than being air born. It works like this. If I cough into my hand and put my hand on a door handle, everyone who touches that door handle pick up the virus and pass it on to the next surface that they touch. It happenes even is I cough or sneeze into a hanky, it is less likely but still probable.

I could talk about this for a long time. Today I just want to focus on the Vaccine. Which is not actually a vaccine, that is for another time. The first thing I have to say is…

I AM NOT ANTI VACCINE

These so called vaccines. For the last 10 – 20 years these companies have been lobbying governments all over the world, for permission to carry out human trials. They were not given licence to carry out Human trials do to some lack of evidence about the safty of this type of MRNA vaccine. Yet now because of this Covid they have been given tempory emergency permisson to run trials at the same time as developing the vaccine.

Normal trials of new drug normally take a minimum of 10 year to complete, mainly so that long term effects can be monitored, These vaccines have been rushed hrough within a couple of months, which means that there have not been any proper long term trials. Normally people volenteer to be part of a trial, this has happened but the trials are still ongoing.

The truth is everyperson who has taken the vaccine has given their permission to take part in the long term trials of these vaccines, without being told this. Billions of people all over the world have been fed lies that cause fear. fear so bad that they think that the vaccine is the only way to fight this virus. Most people do not understand basic truths about these vaccines. Truths that can be checked so easily.

1 Taking the vaccine does not protect people from getting the virus. It just reduces the chance of becoming seriously ill when they do get infected. It will stop some from being infected, there is no long term data to be able to say what the percentages are.

2 The vaccine does not protect anyone from picking up the virus and being a carrier, to pass the virus on to others.

3 That means if you are fully vaccinated with 2 jabs you can still recieve the virus and pass it on to others. Ok the chance that the people who you pass it on to are less likely to become seriously ill. Vaccines will not stop the virus from speading.

Something else I heard from scientists advising the government that is suspicious to me is this. The virus will mutate to worse strains through unvaccinated people. Viruses want to mutate so that they become more infectious. My thought is if they infect someone who has a resistance to the virus, it is more likely to mutate in such a way to try to get round the resistance. If we look at it like this The virus is likely to become more deadly through trying to infect people with this artificial resistance. Artificial resistance is want these vaccines provide for our bodies, and it is only temporary.

That artificial protection does not last, a proven fact, they are talking about booster jabs it seems that we will have to have booster jabs for the rest of our lives. There has been no trial at all to look at the effects of taking these vaccines every six months, which seem to be the length of time the atificial protection lasts for. It also seems that the natural antibodies crated by our own bodies are only effective for about 4 – 6 months in some people. there is not yet enough data to show howwmany people getting covid now have already had it before.

Upon looking at what scientists are saying about drugs that cause serious side effects, and I quote. ‘Most of serious side effects fromthe drugs that are used, come through long term use.’ What is going to happen when the amount of people dying from heart attacks begin to soar next year, THEY will try to tell us that it is nothing to do these vaccines. even though we already know that they can cause blood clots.

Taking thes vaccines are like a young person who does not know better but just hear the lies about what taking drugs will do for them. We are being lied to, by the producers of these vaccines, we are being told lies by the governments. The governments and leaders of the world have intentionally created a fear of this virus. They have used emotional blackmail to get us to wear masks, and to take the vaccines, saying that we are protecting other people. They have insited good people to to believe this emotional blackmail and accept it and use it against others. Other people who wish to exercise their divine right to choose.

They have not tried to do this with the flu vaccine yet, but after this Covid, they are going to start using the same emotional blackmail, to insist that everyone over 50 gets a flu jab. then it will begin to spread to the younger people too.

In the end emotional blackmail is being used to take away our rights to choose. Emotional blackmail is being used to take away our freedoms.

Will you take the jab and give up your rights. or will you stand up for your rights to live and die as you choose. Yes we have a right to live and Die as we choose. People are free to choose to take the vaccine if they want. But they have the right to be told the whole truth clearly and as often as they are being fed the emotional blackmail. They then use that emotional blackmail to try to shame people who choose not to follow the lemmings off the cliff.

That is my rant for today.

Bearing one another’s burdens Pt 2

Here is a big truth, We are supposed to help each other not tearing stirpes out of each other. I know that there some people who are incapable of using a spirit of gentleness, when dealing with someone else’s sin. Maybe it is because they are hash upon themselves, when they stumble in the way. Maybe because they have always been treated harshly when messed up. What ever the reason, we are told to use a spirit of gentleness. Some Christians can be so law focused, that they miss the way of grace. That is what we are talking about restoring a person according to the grace of God.

Bearing another’s burdens, is to take the burden off from them, They do not need to carry it. We cannot release the burden from someone by making them feel bad, that only increases the burden, weighs them down. We bear another’s burdens by forgiving them, and reassuring them of God’s forgiveness. This is exactly what Paul is saying here in Colossians.

So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. Colossians 3:12-13

God tells us to do, be what He does/is. We are to put on a heart of compassion, no condemnation here. A Heart of kindness, No kicking while down here. A heart of Humility, No Lording it over them here. A heart of gentleness, No chastisement here. A heart of patience, no conditional forgiveness here. We are not supposed to chain someone up, we are supposed to set them free.

My own experience is that someone has tried to bind me up with condemnation, guiltiness, and shame. When I have gone before God and given it too Him and been set free from my conscience, still they  come back with, “ you got to show repentance and contriteness before me!” Because I have been comforted, encouraged, and strengthened by the Lord, it is seen to be pride on my part. This is not truth, the truth is that I have a confidence in the Lord that they do not understand. They wish for me to show how bad I feel show remorse, when the Lord has already lifted me out of that place.

If it were not for the strength and maturity that I have in my faith, in the Lord; If I were a young Christian weak in faith I could see how I could be turned off from following the Lord. This kind of treatment is like sowing tares in with the good seed. This is not good Christian behaviour. We should always be helping, nurturing, building up. That is a reason Paul said to look to ourselves in case we get tempted. Jesus told us do not judge because in the way that we judge we will be judged. We have to forgive, forget, and encourage one another. Building each other up in the Lord.

Bears one another’s burdens and thus fulfil the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

Fulfil The law of Christ, Now what is that. We have to see what it is and is not. First it is not obey that law of Moses, it says the law of Christ. So it is not directly to do with obeying the ten commandments, but then again. The law of Christ is this. Jesus told us to, “To love one another as I have loved you.” This is the law of Christ, LOVE! Love is not the Father beating his son in anger with a belt. Even if he does say, “I am only beating you out of love for you.” Jesus did not beat anyone physically, or with his words to bring them into submission to Him. He did chastise by word some people, but He knew who they were and what they were going to do to Him.

To fulfil the Law of Christ. “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another,” We have to restore any one caught in any trespass or sin in a Spirit of gentleness. In humility with patience. I found this definition of bearing with people.

It means sacrificing for the people you love, even when you’re giving up something major. It means knowing, understanding, and accepting that your loved ones, friends and acquaintances are going to fail you. … All these things must be done in love. We have to bear with each other, even when it is difficult.

Bear One Another’s Burdens

I will leave it there for now 😉

Bear One Another’s burdens

Galatians 6

Beginning this study in Galatians 6 does not seem right, because there is so much that has gone before this basically the book is about recognising that we are free from having to obey the letter of the law, and that going back into that way of thinking is contrary to the freedom that we now have in Christ. This is centred around the need or not to be circumcised. Walking by the flesh is living in a way that obeying the law is the way to live for God. Which is against living by the Spirit, which will lead us to not carry out the desire of the flesh.

What it shows throughout Galatians is that trying to live according to the law we allow our natural fleshly character to become dominant. That is the bad fruit of the flesh, On the other hand if we live by the Spirit the good fruit of the Spirit will become evident in our lives. ‘If we live by the Spirit we will not carry out the desires of the flesh.’ Galatians 5:16. We come to chapter 6 I was listening with intent to Galatians one day and felt the urge to study this chapter specifically. Maybe it was talking to my situation at the time. The Title at the top of the page in my Bible says, ‘bear one another’s burdens.’

Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:1-2.

I was struck by the first verse, it seems so contrary to what many Christian churches practice. I think that we should find out what a trespass is. Because else where the Bible seems to make a distinction between trespasses and sins. Although there is a close connection there is a difference. I found this about trespasses; The Greek word most often translated “trespass” in the New Testament literally means “a false step.” It implies a falling away after being close beside. It is a tripping up, a deviation of course, a stumble away from the truth, or a falling over of some kind. Trespasses can be intentional or non-intentional.

It is not too clear, but trespasses are more likely the odd slip up that we make, rather than a habitual sin. Things like a harsh word spoken, a wrong thought, an unforgiveness, Many things that we do not actually consider as sins, they are usually thing that we do or say to other people. Sin is a part of our human nature, we are born into sin. Our Flesh, our minds are happy to continue in a sinful lifestyle, until we become born again. Yet still some sinful habits continue to persist in our lives. Our conscience helps us to deal with them. As we read the word of God our minds become renewed.

1 John tell us that is we are I Christ we do not sin, but if we do sin we have an advocate with the Father. Jesus Christ is our advocate with our Father. An advocate can be describe as lawyer who pleads your case before the judge. Jesus is the advocate that always wins. Because He has already won the victory for us, He paid the price that was due to us.  Back to our verse above.

Brethren, He is talking to believers here. Even if a man is caught in any trespass. That is statement right there. How many sins did Jesus pay for? ALL. Even that mean if one is caught red handed, in the very act, as the adulteress was, they cannot wiggle out of it, in the very act! Even! Now it does not matter what definition of Trespass you want to hold on to. Any trespass, no matter how small or how big. If it is a one off thing, or even a repeated trespass. Even if one is caught in any trespass. We are to rile them and beat them down with words and make them feel ashamed, condemn them to hell?

No that is not what it says. It does say to restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, Not with a club hammer, not even with a judgemental attitude. A spirit of gentleness. Gentleness is a part of the fruit of the spirit, so with the gentleness comes love, joy peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and self-control. Things that Paul spoke about just 3-4 verses earlier Galatians 5:22-23

We cannot restore someone who has stumbled in the path of righteousness, if we are walking according to the flesh, if we are thinking according to the flesh. We have be walking by the Spirit to retore someone with a spirit of gentleness. That is why Paul tells to look at ourselves when we deal with someone unless we become tempted. That sounds a little strange. Someone else has trespassed, but we have to be careful that we are not tempted to trespass. How can we be tempted to trespass when we are helping someone else?

But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death. James 1:14-15

Look to yourselves lest you be tempted too. The main point in this short piece is that We should not condemn, beat people down, and cause self-condemnation, just because they were caught in some kind of sin or trespass. We are told to restore them.

Forgive and forget!

If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained.” John 20:23

Thinking deeply about this verse about forgiveness, It brings a few different things into mind. Firstly that we have the power to forgive sins, as Jesus did. Is that power to forgive as Jesus did, but God has already forgiven all sin. Does it just mean we can forgive those who sin against us? I know from experience that if we do not forgive sin, it can have detrimental effects upon us, not the other person.

That is something that Jesus commanded of us to forgive. Still thinking about the retention of sins, is that to do with sins against us? Is it a warning? Well the more I think without going into the Word to find the answers, the more it is confusing.

Jesus said to some people, ‘Your sins are forgiven.’ The religious leaders and rulers of the time could not understand that Jesus had the authority to forgive sins. One time they said between themselves, “who can forgive sins but God.” We know that Jesus had the authority. We have the benefit of the Spirit that opened our eyes, and give to us hindsight.

If we are not careful we can ridicule those leaders for being so blind. Jesus the Lord and Saviour was right there in their midst, and they could not see. It is written now for all to see, but still there are those who cannot see the truth. We want to get to the truth, and we need to see the above verse in context of other things that Jesus said at the time.

So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” And when He had said this, He breathed on them and *said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained.” John 20:21-23

The first thing is Jesus give the disciples His peace. A gift of peace, they had been in turmoil over the death of Jesus, Even though Jesus had told them to not let their hearts be troubled. He gave them His peace, not a peace that we can find anywhere else except in Christ. A peace that guards hearts and minds. Not a peace that the world can give. A peace that surpasses all human and worldly understanding.

Next is something interesting, and as I think about it very powerful. Jesus said, “As the Father sent me, I also send you.” Think about this for a while. God sent Jesus for a purpose. That means that Jesus sends us for a purpose. Jesus was anointed, to preach the good news set free those oppressed by the devil. Or as Peter put in  Acts “Heal all who were oppressed by the devil. This is what God the Father sent Jesus to do, before becoming the atoning sacrifice for the sins of the whole world.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, And recovery of sight to the blind, To set free those who are oppressed, Luke 4:18

There is a very interesting thing that Jesus did and said after saying I send you. Something that I have occasionally wondered about. Then after hearing two different preachers say the same thing about it, I have say that this seems feasible. This is the point that the disciples became born of the Spirit, Born again.

And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.

If we think about it, what was Jesus talking about here? Not the baptism in the Spirit, because He spoke about that and what they had to do, wait for that Spirit to come. We have to look at some scriptures to find out. The first one is from the beginning. Because Jesus breathed on them. There is a difference though.

Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. Genesis 2:7

God breathed directly into the nose of Adam, the breath of life. Jesus breathed on the disciples. The difference is that Adam was not alive and laying on the floor, or wherever the Lord had place him. The disciples were alive and listening to the Lord. I can imagine them seeing Jesus, breath out a big breath saying receive the Holy Spirit, and in turn the disciples taking in a breath to receive the Spirit.

We know and understand that there are two separate experiences that we have, being born again, and being baptised in the Spirit. They can happen at the same time. Now the next scripture which talks about the being born again experience.

In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, Ephesians 1:13

When we become born again we are given a new spirit, that spirit is sealed by, or with the Holy Spirit. That is so the sin that we go on to commit after this time cannot corrupt or taint our new spirit. Without our spirit we would be dead. With our new spirit we have new life, born again. Protected by the Holy Spirit. Jesus told Nicodemus that unless one is born of the Spirit he cannot enter the Kingdom of God.

who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge. 2 Corinthians 1:22

We are born once in the flesh, or of water. We are born again of the Spirit, our new spirits are sealed with the Holy Spirit. Then usually at a later date we get baptised in the Spirit. The disciples got baptised in the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. Surely here in John 20 Jesus was sealing their spirits with the Holy Spirit. Which means that this is when they became born again.

Before Jesus had died and rose again, no one could be born again. They were still under the old covenant of the law. Jesus told the disciples to pray for God’s Kingdom to come. They preached that the Kingdom of God was near. We could not enter the kingdom of God without the sacrifice of Jesus. This is why no one could be born again till after Jesus’ death and resurrection. The reason that Jesus could not, did not breath on them and say receive the Holy Spirit, until after the resurrection.

More to come on this, seems like the beginnings of a book

Set Free

This is taken from a new book that I am writing. A daily devotional book, that covers 3 topics. Grace, righteousness, and holiness. My previous books 5 of them are available on Amazon in 2 formats, kindle and paperback.

As We have already seen, there was nothing that we could do to get ourselves into a right relationship with God. God had to do what He did, for us, for His Names sake. This verses says that we were helpless, we could not save ourselves; we could not redeem ourselves. The penalty that was due to us was eternal death, eternal separation from God, that is not what God wants.

God wants to be at peace with us. He wants us to be at peace with Him. He sent His Son Jesus to pay the price due to us for our sin. We were helpless, we were ungodly, not worthy of anything that God has done for us. The thing is that many Christians remain in that place of feeling of unworthiness. That is not God’s plan for us at all. God’s plan is to come and walk with us in the cool of the day, and talk.

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

No God did not wait until we were good enough, God loves us so much that He sent His Son for us to believe in and not perish but have eternal life. God’s saving grace is for not just those who have believed but for everyone whether they believe or not. The gift of grace is flowing for all. Whether they choose to come to Him or not.

It does not matter what race, where in the world we live. For God so loved the world! It does not matter what people believe right now. For God so love the world. It does not matter what age. For God so loved the world. It does not matter how ill we get because of sin in the world. For God so loved the world. Every man woman and child God so loves them all, that He sent His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but will have eternal life.

My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world. 1 John 2:1-2

Got to cover this in the next section, but this scripture verse one tells us that the grace of God continues to flow towards us even after we have believed. If we do sin we have and advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. He pleads on behalf of us to the father. I heard someone put it this way. Every time we mess up Jesus nudges the Father and says, “I paid for that.” The payment for our sins and also for those of the whole world. What an amazing God that we have. He wants to draw the whole world to Himself to protect us.

God’s saving grace is for His Names sake. God did not wait or was waiting for us to be good enough, we were trapped into the curse of the Law. Held under custody of the law. Bound by the law. Jesus came to set us fee from the curse of the law. paid the price, redeemed us, from the curse of the law. Jesus said, “Who the Son sets free will be free indeed.”

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us, for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree” Galatians 3:13

Free indeed, we need to go into that and what it really means. I do not think that we all know what it means to be set free let alone to be free indeed. There is a law if sin and death. Because of that we are born and destined to die twice. Yes something that is not at the top of our minds, as we only normally think about this life in  the here and now. As humans born into sin our bodies are destined to die. Even Jesus had to die, the body that He had was a body of the flesh. He did not sin, but His body, His flesh was born into sin, and had to die.

That is the only way that we could be set free, by the sacrifice of Jesus. The lamb of God, without spot or blemish. He did not sin, so even though His flesh had to die, He was the only purely righteous man who lived. That is why He is able to take away, wash away our sin from us. We are now then washed clean by the blood of the Lamb. Set free from the curse of the law. If we read the curse of the law, the list of things that we are not protected from if we disobey the law; it is a dismal list of sickness and disgusting things that we would not wish to happen to anyone.

The list is in Deuteronomy 28, Jesus has set us free from that, when we read it we should read it with that attitude. I do, I thank God that those things cannot come upon me. I thank God that Jesus set me free from all of those things. I have heard a lot of people saying things like we are healed from all those things, but it is a spiritual healing. The curse of the law is a spiritual thing, but that spiritual thing comes against our flesh, our bodies. It a spiritual healing as well as a physical healing

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. Romans 8:2

Set free means just that, and also much more than that. Why did Jesus not just say shall be free? He said, we shall be free and free indeed. Free  from sin, free from the consequences of sin. That is a tough one to accept. My experience is this. I am free from the consequences of sin, except my perception of what is God’s view when I mess up now and again. Free indeed is what Jesus say’s.

There are arguments against this. They seem valid, and they are to valid in a lot of people’s minds. God does not ignore our sin does He? If God sees us commit sin then He is going to get us for it, isn’t He? No God is not we face physical consequences for our sin.

He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24

What I have found is this; and it has not just been directed at me, it is an observation of other’s situations also, most of the consequences of our sin come from others. From people showing their disapproval. Pressure to break a person under the weight of the sin. This is not Godly but is also sinful. We are told to, ’do not repay evil with evil.’

Now, you may say that I have gone over the top there, but the Word of God is quite clear that if a brother is caught in sin to restore them in a spirit of gentleness. Forgiving one another. Why are there some Christians that are the most unforgiving of certain people? I have seen this multiple times. People who hold on to hurts and unforgiveness for years. We have been set free by our one Lord. Our Lord has forgiven us, and we should have the same heart as the Lord, the mind of Christ, and forgive.

Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted. Galatians 6:1

Why should we do this? Because the same Jesus that set us free, set our brother free also. As you are forgiven so should you forgive. We should never ever have or hold anything against our enemy let alone our brothers in Christ. God will never condemn us who are in Christ, neither should we. We have been set free. I cannot say that enough.

We Have Been Set Free, You Have Been Set Free

BY THE SON!

Wisdom that comes from God

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5

There are a few books of wisdom in the Bible. I would actually say that the whole Bible is a book of wisdom. There are some that are specifically called books of wisdom, of course , Proverbs, then Ecclesiastes. I would add the psalms to that. But what about romans and James, well, all of the Epistles. Paul talks about the hidden wisdom of God.

When we think of wisdom we think of Solomon. The wisest earthly king that ever lived. Jesus is our heavenly King. He is the one who gave Solomon the wisdom that he had. Jesus is the living word of God. Here is what Jesus said about Himself, He was able because He has infinite wisdom.

The men of Nineveh will stand up with this generation at the judgment, and will condemn it because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, something greater than Jonah is here. The Queen of the South will rise up with this generation at the judgment and will condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, something greater than Solomon is here. Matthew 12:41-42

Jesu said that He was greater than Solomon. That is in wisdom, maybe in riches too, but that is another discussion, but it does go to follow that as the wisest man to ever walk this earth Jesus may have been the richest man also in earthly riches. Any way greater than Solomon in wisdom.

If that was so why do some people spend so much time in Solomons wisdom rather than that of Jesus. I think that Jesus’ sermon on the mount has to be looked at and studied in a much deeper way to understand the wisdom the is coming from Jesus. That is what I will have to do. I know that I have some idea about some of what was said, but I gonna go back and look deeply into it. Things like do not worry, seek first the kingdom of God, and so much more.

Here is a thought! We can all have greater wisdom than Solomon. Do you believe that?

Look at it this way, Jesus said that the Holy Spirit will tell us what He hears, and reveal it to us. Who is the Spirit listening to get wisdom to tell us? Jesus tells us the answer. The one greater than Solomon!

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. John 14:26

But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you. John 16:13-15

Even all thewisdom of Solomon is anywhere near the wisdom of God, the wisdom of Christ. Yes Proverbs give insight and wisdom of that great King. What an earth possessed him to have 700 wives and concubines. Not a wise move at all. Especially as the turned his head away from the living God. God in His wisdom warned against this when He gave the Israelites the law long before they had any kings. Now I will never say that Solomon was not a wise man, but he did some stupid things. God blessed him anyway with far more than any King ever.

Back to Jesus. Here is a little snippet of scripture from Paul. All of the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Him.

That their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ Himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:2-3

‘Christ Himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.’ Wow All the treasures of wisdom. That is deep. And we have the mind of Christ, through the Holy Spirit. I think that we have to underestimate or take for granted what we actually have been given with the gift of the Holy Spirit.

I made this analogy of the Holy Spirit before, talking about Spiritual gifts; The Holy Spirit comes as a big gift box. Inside that box are many gifts, there are the special gift that we know as Spiritual gifts, and also other gifts that we need to live our day to day lives. I want to let you know this that there is the Spiritual gift of wisdom, and there is also another gift of wisdom it is an everyday wisdom that we can access at any time we choose. All we need to do is ask, that is what James tells us.

To put it another way, there is the gift, the anointing of wisdom that some people have or comes upon some people as the Spirit wills. And then there is a wisdom that we can call upon whenever we need it. It is the wisdom that comes from the mind of Christ. that is where all wisdom comes from, but hopefully you get my point.

For who has known the mind of the Lord , that he will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16

We have the mind of Christ, now that is a big statement. It is the truth the Word of God says it. When we have the Spirit we have the mind of Christ, because the Spirit reveals truth of the Lord to us, be it through the word, by way of revelation or direct into our minds, We also access the mind of Christ through other spirit filled; Spirit led Christians.

When we access the mind of Christ we are accessing the very wisdom of God.

Praise the Lord, so much more to share on this, for another time.
