Political Correctness V’s God’s Word Pt 4

Climate change?

Climate Change …… and Food

There is a wisdom of the world That is so opposed to the word and wisdom of God.

This is a topic that kind of makes me laugh everytime it comes up in the news. The latest Was the NATO’s spokesman for climate change declaring that the end is nigh. Well not quite that but, more or less if the world’s governments do not do what they say we need to do, now! There is no hope for the world. The world as we know it will be destroyed by messed up weather systems, rising sea levels. Excess Co2 levels will cause this.

Then they say that Co2 levels are way higher than they should be, even though the world is doing things to reduce the amount that is pumped into the atmosphere. How about if everyone stopped breathing for 1 minute of each day, would that help, but no seriously! Apparently there are enough trees on one island to cope with the Co2 emissions that the world pumps out.

The bible does not seem to talk directly about climate change. One thing that I do recognise is something that Jesus calls the birth pangs of the great tribulation. He mentions famines and earthquakes. Famines are usually associated with droughts. Jesu said there will be famines. Earthquakes can be a cause of rising sea levels and also affect the weather patterns of the earth along with some volcano eruptions. Not forgetting the wars. Let’s stop the wars!

For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; there will be earthquakes in various places; there will also be famines. These things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. Mark 13:8 NASB1995

Nobody in the science world will talk about any of these things with regard to changing climate. The truth is that the climate has been changing since the flood of Noah’s time. The so-called Ice age was a result of the flood, and many volcano’s erupting at the same time. Causing so much gas in the atmosphere that the sun was blocked out from a part of the earth. The earth has spent time warming and cooling for about the last 4000 years since the flood, and it was all due to sin in the world.

We cannot stop the forests catching fire which accounts for an enormous amount of Co2 released into the atmosphere,  Which anyhow is a part of how our planet works. THEY will tell us that there are more forest fire because of global warming, but that is just lies. The amazing thing about forest fires is how the next year something always grows back. I watched David Attenborough in the Green Planet programme say that if there were no fires in some places some plants would not exist, they would not grow.

Also there are more volcanoes erupting now than we have ever seen recorded in history. These also release enormous amounts of Co2 into the earth’s atmosphere. Something else that we cannot really do anything to reduce. The truth is that our earth is a living organism. One which man can never kill or destroy. We were told to bring the earth under our subordination or subjection.

God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:28

Actually Where do they get the number from to be able to state that This is how much Co2 in the atmosphere that the world can cope with? That if we keep on with more than this amount, will not destroy our planet. Science is and never has been a precise process. Really for this subject science is more like intellectual guess work.

Normally science is a series of experiments used to find knowledge, but not the knowledge of God.though sometimes science does prove the knowledge of God. Whether the world of science acknowledges this or not. Science does influence political correctness to a great extent, especially in the aspect of climate change. We are told to, ‘follow the science.’ A phase that has become synonymous with the Covid pandemic. That is a whole new story!

If you have died with Christ to the elementary principles of the world, why, as if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to decrees, such as, “Do not handle, do not taste, do not touch!” (which all refer to things destined to perish with use)—in accordance with the commandments and teachings of men? Colossians 2:20-22

Do not submit yourself to decrees, such as, “do not burn coal, do not use oil, do not drive petrol cars. Apparently man is causing so much Co2 that we have to do all we can to stop doing so. Impossible. Next thing we know the world government will be telling us that every woman is only allowed one child each. The kind of rules that had been in China for decades. Are these doctrines of demons?

But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron, men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth. For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude; for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer. 1 Timothy 4:1-5

See this says that even Christians will fall prey to these doctrines, though it goes on to say that everything that has been created is to be gratefully received. God created everything for man’s use and comfort, sanctified by the word of God and prayer. The biggest, greatest form of prayer is praise, thanksgiving. The world is talking about trying to stop rearing cattle for food, to help reduce Co2. So by eating beef we are adding to the world’s demise.

According to this scripture, advocating vegetarianism is a doctrine of demons. That is so politically incorrect. I have not heard of one christian leader standing up for what God’s word says about this. Why? Because it is politically incorrect. God’s people do not see some of these truths. I am not against being vegetarian, but the whole thing has gone too far. Yes everyone has the right to choose, but most people have chosen to be vegetarian through false information.

When I was young I did not like the taste of meat in general, but I never considered becoming a vegetarian. I liked sausages! Later I taught myself to like proper meat, as the thing I did not like the taste of was the fat. I still cut off the excess fat from my steak before I put it into my mouth. God says that we are allowed to eat meat, all meat, including Pork.

Every moving thing that is alive shall be food for you; I give all to you, as I gave the green plant. Genesis 9:3

I have to admit that there are some of these food sources I do not like, such as seafood. Some things I do not like because of the way they are prepared, or the amount of spices used. But generally I am a happy meat eater. It is my choice of course, but I do not choose according to the advice or wisdom of the world, or political correctness.

Political Correctness V’s God’s Word Pt3

There is a wisdom of the world that is so opposed to the Word and wisdom of God.

Tolerance – Intolerance

The WOKE movement has much to do in and with political correctness.

Woke is a term that came to the fore in the mind of black lives matter movement in 2014, regarding awareness of institutional racism in society, not just political. Though the word Woke regarding racial awareness began and was in use during the 1960’s Martin Luther King used the phrase in his, ‘I have a dream,’ speech.

Although “woke” as a watchword was the term’s earliest known usage, it took on three primary contexts within Black communities during the 20th century: 1) slang for being literally awake; 2) slang for being suspicious of a cheating romantic partner; and 3) the original, politically charged usage of always being on the lookout for systemic injustice.

Woke, as many words and phrases have, has entered into a wider meaning taking in all manner of social injustices. Applied to all prejudices. This is the working out of the wisdom of the world, saying that we ought to be people of tolerance. When we look deeper into this it is a tolerance of people’s rights to be whatever man chooses. As a consequence people have to become accountable for what they do or say. That is a promotion of intolerance! The world and the mind of man has twisted everything.

The world, man says  that we can do anything. Because we can do anything, there must be someone to blame if things go wrong. My baby is stillborn or has some problem or disability; it has to be somebody’s fault. Somebody must have missed something or done something, or forgot to do something the right way. We have to find out what happened. I trusted the medical profession to make sure that all was well. What happened? This is becoming more and more the way of the world. A thing of the world. (The boastful pride of life.)

‘Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.’ 1 John 2:15-17

The other thing that happens in this age, is that because the medical profession is so advanced now, they can look at a scan of a baby in the womb just a couple of weeks into a pregnancy and tell what disabilities that the baby might have, and give the option to abort if there is any type of disability, or abnormality. We have the right to know and the right to choose to let the baby (person) live or die! What about the choice to allow God’s healing of the person(baby)?

As  the world gets to have more knowledge, it grows more in its own wisdom. This is most evident in the medical world. It is also growing at an alarming rate within other scientific spheres. Man is becoming so wise and knowledgeable, those with lesser knowledge trust that the experts know what they are talking about, even though it is their own wisdom. Men who think that they are wise because they know so much. We have a greater understanding of how nature works so we must do things this way. We trust the doctor because of the knowledge that they have. Knowledge does not equal wisdom! Unless it is of the mind of man, man’s wisdom.

Knowledge does not equal wisdom!

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5 NASB1995

The world of medicine will say, ‘Your baby will be born blind; with cerebral palsy; with a heart murmur; autistic.’ It could be one or more of any number of things. Man’s wisdom says that you have to have the choice to put yourself through a hard life of being a carer for your child for the rest of your life, or you can opt out. Nobody will blame you for choosing to abort. It is not easy either way. Either way we have to live with the decision. The reality is this, choose love or choose death. The world in its wisdom will not put it that way, because the world’s wisdom is a deception. We get so much info to help us make “an informed decision,” but it is usually stacked against the truth of love.

‘Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. For it is written, “ He is the one who catches the wise in their craftiness”; and again, “The Lord knows the reasonings of the wise, that they are useless.” So then let no one boast in men. For all things belong to you,’ 1 Corinthians 3:18-21

Political correctness uses words like inclusion, diversity, and equality, all to mean or promote a society of tolerance towards different cultural, political, sexual, genders. Sometimes it goes so far as to promote and highlight the differences. When we do not really need to know. The Oscars was one point, a woman won an oscar, and it was pointed out that she was the first queer woman of colour to ever win an oscar. I smiled to myself when I heard the word queer used. I thought the use of that definition had become politically incorrect decades ago. It seems that ideals have changed again. Why do they have to point out that the best actor award was won by a black man for ONLY the 5th time. Surely through diversity inclusion they would not make any distinctions?

I am told that I have to tolerate all these things, The diversity of culture, but I am not to be tolerated for having biblical upright views. Wisdom of the world is not wisdom, but a system of cleverly constructed lies, to change attitudes of the masses to a way of thinking. A way of thinking that seems right. A way of thinking that can sound godly, but when we look deeper something is not quite right. It is a perversion of the truth of God’s word.

There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. Proverbs 14:12 NASB1995

Political correctness is the way of death. The way that seems right to a man. There is so much of the world’s wisdom; the wisdom of man, that has found its way into the teaching of the church.

If I as a Christian state that God has forgiven all sin, even the ones that have not been committed yet, someone will say that can’t be true as we have to confess our sin to God to be forgiven of them. That is not what the bible says. If Jesus died for my sin 2000 years ago, He paid for all of my sin before I was born, before I ever committed sin. That means all my sins are forgiven, even the ones that He knows that I will commit in the future. Some people will say that I am saying that it is OK to sin, it does not matter if I sin. That is the wisdom of the world talking. But the world thinks that it is OK to continue in sin, whether they know about God’s forgiveness or not. Afterall the bible teaches tolerance doesn’t it?

Here is a wisdom of the world that is part of Christian teaching. In order to be saved and continue to be saved or forgiven, we have to confess our sins to God. The Bible does not say this. It does say confess your sins to one another, together with Jesus teaching about being reconciled with your brother, forgive one another. It is written in the Lord’s prayer. If we will not forgive those who sin against us we cannot be forgiven. Unforgiveness is a sin that can’t be forgiven until we forgive. Political correctness say’s we don’t need to forgive, we need justice.

‘Pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled;’ Hebrews 12:14-15

If we get justice we can be at peace. We hear it much in the news; somebody is finally convicted of some crime, usually murder; and the family talk about being able to get on with life now. They can finally put to rest the pain in their heart. This is a lie. Even knowing that the culprit is being punished, will not take away pain. Some acknowledge that winning compensation does not heal the pain, but…………..!

The reason is unforgiveness. It sticks to us, it causes emotional distress within us bitterness takes hold. 10, 20, 30 years later it is still there. The longer we hold onto the unforgiveness the harder it becomes to forgive, Bitterness works its way out through or in sickness. Sickness of the mind and also the body. This what political correctness promotes, then we have to be tolerant of the person who is sick mentally. After all, they can’t help it. Yes they can, all they need to do is forgive that someone.

So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. Colossians 3:12-15

What great verses are these, all about relationships, and totally against the thinking of the world, There is actually more to this passage, This is talking directly to Christians, not to the world. ‘To those who have been chosen of God.’ This is everything that political correctness wants to be, but has corrupted what these verses actually say.

Going to leave it there for now,…… more to come

The Perfect Law Of Liberty

I read this verse in the picture the other day and it pricked my ear, I had to bookmark it. There are several things within the verse to look at. The first is this, ‘The Perfect Law Of Liberty.’ It tells us that if we look intently at the law of liberty………… But what is the Perfect Law of Liberty?

There are plenty of scriptures that relate to this which I cannot share them all. But here are two from Hebrews.

“This is the covenant that I will make with them After those days , says the Lord : I will put My laws upon their heart, And on their mind I will write them,” He then says, “And their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” Now where there is forgiveness of these things, there is no longer any offering for sin. Hebrews 10:16-18

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel After those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their minds, And I will write them on their hearts. And I will be their God, And they shall be My people.  Hebrews 8:10 NASB1995

It is clear that this perfect law is different to the law of Moses. Joshua was told to keep the law of Moses and meditate on it day and night, to do it. Trying to keep the law of Moses in our humanity, is a bondage, forever trying and not ever achieving. The law of liberty, means that we are set free from bondage to the law of Moses. The Law of Moses highlights our sin, and the consequence of sin is death. Not just the death of our bodies, but the lake of fire, the second death.

From the scriptures in Hebrews, it tells us that this law of freedom is not of what we have done to read and meditate; although that is a part of it; it is a law that God puts/writes upon our minds and hearts. It is something that God does. There have been times that God’s word comes at a time that I need it. It is not that I am trying to remember the right thing at the time, but it just comes into mind. When I was a young Christian this used to amaze me, because sometimes I would be able to bring things, or say the word of God. I would think to myself that I have not read that before. Then I have to find out where it was in my bible.

These days I know that I have read it sometime before, having read through the whole Bible a few times. But I do not have to remember it all, there are things that I do remember chapter and verse. Which is good, I think, but not needed. Like most Christians, I have favourite verses. These next ones for instance.

‘Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.’ Romans 8:1-4

Verse 2 says that we have been set free from the law of sin and death. The law of sin and death is the law of Moses. It goes on to say that walking according to the Spirit is walking in freedom. The requirement of the law of sin and death is fulfilled through Jesus, so we are left with the law of the Spirit of life. This is the law of liberty, the law of freedom. It is the grace of God towards us, by His love.

More to come!

Political correctness V’s God’s word Pt 2

There is a wisdom of the world that is so opposed to the Word and wisdom of God.

This time we are going to take a look at another aspect of sexual immorality, and divorce. Political correctness is all about allowing people the ability to choose for themselves how to live, as long as it does not break man’s laws. Laws that were for the most set up or redefined to come into line with God’s law. For instance it is still against the law to steal from anyone. One of the ten commandments ‘Do not steal.’ Stealing also involves coveting too, another one of the top 10.

Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18 NASB1995

I think that the sexual promescuety revelution began in the Uk during the war. Much earlier than the sixties as we tend to think. There have always been periods of time in history, when sexual promescuity rises up in societies. In the sixties attitudes towards sex began to change across society. To the point that by the seventies, young people in the churches began to think that it was not such a big bad thing to sleep around a bit. Eventually taking on the idea of, ‘try before you buy.’ Not wanting to marry a person and find out later that they were sexually incompatable. What kind of thinking is that?

But because of immoralities, each man is to have his own wife, and each woman is to have her own husband. 1 Corinthians 7:2 NASB1995

Attitudes can, and often do become socially acceptable, no matter if they are good or bad attitudes. This is true of sexual immorality. So what is sexual immorality as it is stated in the bible. Basically, sexual morality is having sex for sex sake with many people, without any concern for the consequences, to themselves or the other people that they have sex with. The sin of sexual immorality has many different aspects to to it. Here is one which is still taboo to a large extent these days.

‘It is actually reported that there is immorality among you, and immorality of such a kind as does not exist even among the Gentiles, that someone has his father’s wife.’ 1 Corinthians 5:1

Another one is men going with prostitutes. Something that has largely been decriminalised in some western countries. The law that is in place is against solicitation, though it is not against the law for a prostitute to advertise their services in some ways, inc the internet. The point is that sexual immorality is not a lawless thing, in fact most things have become quite acceptable. It is all about the way or wisdom of the world that says that we are not allowed to have any kind of prejudices.

But it goes even further where the establishment has begun to say that we cannot label people as male or female any more. Even to the extreme of saying that children have to be allowed to wait till an age that they can decide for themselves whether they want to be recognised as a man or a woman, that they can be allowed to be given drugs that can block the production of hormones that define whether we a boy or a girl, But they cannot change the chromosomes that we are born with that actually make us male or female.

Being bold, I would say that sexual disphoria, is a mental illness. This where someone is supposedly confused about sexual inendtity. This is made worse by acceptance that this is a real thing rather than a mental deception. It is real, a real mental deception that comes from the evil one, the devil. These are thoughts that raise themselves up against the knowledge and wisdom of God.

It is now considered to be mental abuse to insist a person who is not sure of their sexuality that they are a man, we are not allowed to try and convince a boy with sexual disphoria thaty he is a boy; os a girl that they are a girl. We have come to the point that their isdebats about trans sexuals are eligable to compete in certain elete sports as their new chosen sexual identity.

‘for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,’ 2 Corinthians 10:4-5

Political correctness is overriding the free will that God has given to us. It says that God did not give us enough choice. Political correctness is raising a standard as one higher than the standard of God. It is saying that God’s perfect standard is imperfect. Political correctness is speculations and lofty thoughts that are raised up against the knowledge of God.

The question of sexual immorality has been complicated by some of the teaching of the church on the subject, which is not really biblical. I read a book some 30+ years ago called the act of marriage, which was about the act of sex from the wedding night. The title of the book is the point, that sex is the act of marriage. So technically everytime one person has sex with another they become married to that person. Or as the bible puts it they become one flesh. Think about it then, if someone has sex with someone who has had sex with someone else, they commit adultery.

Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take away the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? May it never be! 1 Corinthians 6:15

This scripture shows that through sex we become one with the person, not through a wedding ceremony. Even the wedding ceremony is not the covenant of marriage, the act of sex is! That can be hard to get our heads around, the only agreements made in the times of the bible were the betrothal agreements, and they were between the groom, his family and the family(father) of the bribe to be. Yet we say that God instituted the covenant of marriage, when there were not any marriage certificates or laws regarding marriage. The covenant of marriage has to do with the one flesh principle

The Word also Tells us that we should not be unequally yoked, talking about believers being joined/married to non believers. This is a kind of sexual immorality. A person joined, one with Christ being joined to a non believer. Can being unequally yoked also be sexual immorality? This question is solely to do with a Christian choosing to marry a non Christian. There are too many scripture relating sexual morality to share them all here.

There is something about the protection which God wants for us.  He wants to protect us from ourselves, and our human earthly desires. He knows what they can do to us, where they can lead us. Usually on a downwards spiral towards  debauchery, sexual immorality that causes sickness and diseases, some of which no cure has been found yet. It is not God’s plan or will that anyone of His children should get sick, sickness is an oppression of the devil. And our Father wants to protect us from bringing sickness into our own bodies through sexual immorality.

For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you abstain from sexual immorality; 1 Thessalonians 4:3

Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, as such we need help to keep them sanctified. That is one purpose of the Holy Spirit to help us to walk in righteousness. God tells us that if we live by the Spirit we should also walk by the Spirit. The Holy Spirit will never lead us into sexual immorality. At the end of the day sexual immorality is a temptation that we should resist by the power of the Spirit that is within us.

God clearly states that sexual immorality is a sin against our own bodies. The world says that it must be OK then because it is not a sin against God! Political correctness says that we cannot speak out against sexual immorality unless it is something that is against the law of the land; pedophilia, rape, beastiality. We are ok to speak out against these but not anything else! God says that we will bear the consequences of any sexual immorality in our own bodies in this life.

Adultery

Adultery is generally classed as one of the big sins, alongside murder. Yet the truth is that sin is sin. What is adultery according to the Bible? Is it the same as what the world calls adultery? Adultery is not against the law in most “Christian” countries. Though it can be used in law. First thing to say is that adultery is sexual immorality. The world says that adultery is someone who is married goes out and has sex with someone else. The Bible agrees with that but actually goes further I think. There is the issue with the difference between What the Bible classes as marriage and what the world calls marriage.

I wrote a book about this subject called, Marriage, God’s View. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Marriage-Gods-View-Charles-King/dp/B096HTQ4RX/ref

I know that there will be a multitude who will disagree with me, but marriage is as can be seen through the Bible is simple, two people committing to live a life together, and sealing that commitment through having sex. This does not necessarily include a wedding ceremony. Wedding ceremonies were not a part of getting married in Britain until the 15th century, people who consented to being married only had to register their decision. Wedding ceremonies as we know them, in Europe,  did not come into being til the 18th century.

That said, if two people commit their lives to each other, and seals that commitment through sex, having had a wedding ceremony or not, they are married. If one of them then has sex with someone else then it is adultery. Biblically there is an exception to this. Men were allowed to have more than one wife, which is not adultery. Biblically although God’s best was for one man, one woman as husband and wife, men were allowed to marry other women. The difference is that having sex with someone outside of even multiple marriage with out taking the woman as a wife is adultery.

Multiple wives is not against the law of Moses. There is only one law that talks about this. The law states; that the king should not accumulate too many wives, that they turn the king’s head from the Lord. So although not God’s best and originally intended, multiple wives were permitted by God. The way it worked was if the man had sex with a woman he had to take her as his wife. Having sex with someone elses wife or husband was adultery. Joining yourself to somebody who is already joined to somebody else is adultery.

Jesus went deeper into this saying that a marriage commitment should not be broken by man. One reason He said,  if man breaks the contract of marriage, then it causes those to commit adultery if they join sexually with someone else. Both men and women, even if they make the commitment of marriage. Jesus went beyond what the law of Moses said about divorce, saying that divorce can lead to adultery. This is an idea that is totally against the political correctness of allowing people the right to divorce for any reason. That is what the law in the UK says now.

The point is that adultery is one type of sexual immorality.  This is just the tip of the iceberg.

Political correctness V’s God’s Word Pt 1

There is a wisdom of the world That is so opposed to the word and wisdom of God. This is a complex subject. Where to start? The report and seeing film of a man arrested Outside a station in London, for preaching that god made us man and woman for each other. Speaking about God’s plan for mankind. Someone from the LBGT community complained to nearby police, about what was being said from the word of God.

The LGBT community talks about equality for all; about the freedom to be who and what they want to be without any prejudice. That is an impossible aim, as someone from the LGBT community, showed prejudice against a man who was teaching the truth of the Word of God. Not just that, they managed to get the establishment of the police involved in their prejudice against a man’s Christian beliefs.

A question I ask is, If this man had been a Hindu, or a Muslim, teaching what they believe, would their be reason to suspect religious predjudice, against them. That they would not have been arrested. I suggest that as this man was a Christian, in a supposedly a christian society, he was arrested, because his biblical views were opposed to the political correct views we are told to adopt as Christians, by the establishment?

Political correctness has  gone mad! Political correctness is opposed to the Word of God. I am not just talking about LBGT, there is much more. But here is where I begin. We have become a civilised society, that has to accept all of the diversity of opinions that are ingrained into the thought processes of the society. But we are not allowed to speak our opinions out, if they are different to what the world says is right.

Even as Christians we are told that we have to accept that people are just different, and believe the lies that the devil has perpetrated within the minds of the people of the world that we live in. The Bible clearly warns us about, and against these things. For instance most of us know that some mental conditions are spiritual, more than mental. Yet we are not allowed to say that it is a spirit that causes ADHD in a child. It is a spirit that causes Schizophreia, it is a spirit that causes autism, it is a spirit that causes sexual confusion.

There is no woman who was ever born that should have been a man! There is no man ever born that should have been a woman. When we look at the DNA of any of these transexual people it does not lie, the lie is in the mind of the person.  It is lies and confusion that comes from the evil spirit world of satan. Where is this spirit world? It is here on the earth, within the people that have not been born again, that have not become a new creation. It is the spirit and the wisdom of the world. It is against the wisdom of God.

‘Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes And clever in their own sight!’ Isaiah 5:20-21

Before the flood of Noah the Bible says that every intention of the heart of mankind was continually evil. This had to be to the point where evil was accepted as normal. A kind of they did not know any better. They had rejected God and His word, they did not pay God any attention. They were not at all mindful of God, but pursued life to their own agenda, without God. They rejected the preaching of Noah. right up till it was too late and the rain fell, and the water came up from below. Only eight people survived, because of the faith of Noah, the father.

In these days, political correctness is man saying that I should be able to do and live whatever life I choose, without any mindfulness of what is right before God! This is the same as at the time of Noah. I know that in this free country, with freedom of speech, that I can be arrested and be covicted as guilty because of stating homophobic views. Even though they are not homophobic they are Christian truth, God’s truth. In this the law is opposed to the truth; the law of the Lord God almighty.

I am not anti LGBT, it is a life choice that they have made, to live in sexual immorality as far as God’s word goes. As a man of God I recognise that I have a duty to warn and teach the truth of God’s Word, no matter what the consequences may be. God’s word speaks speciffically abot  this kind of sexual immorality. It is an error in the way that they think. It is a way that the world thinks, that is opposed to the way that God thinks, the way that God planned things to be.

God is not going to force his ways, or His will upon anyone. He will let us know the truth, and we can choose. If we choose the way of the world God will let us do what we want. Just because God does not strike us down for wrong doing does not mean that He is OK with it. Below, when it says that God gave them over to degrading passion. It means that God let them do what was in their hearts to do.

‘For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.’ Romans 1:26-27

The act of sodomy/buggery began to be decriminaliesd in 1967, By the legalisation decriminilising homosexuality. By 2003 the legal age for homosexual relationships between men was lowered to 16, in line with hetrosexual law. God’s word is very clear about these types of relationships. They are an abomination to Him. There are not many things that the word of God says are an abomination to Him. The reason is because He created man as male and female, for each other.

Romans 1 is very clear about sexual relationships, and what is acceptable to God. Not just Romans but it is mentioned in other places too, which we will look at. There is a story in the Old Testament, when God came to have a chat with Abraham, to let him know what was planned for two cities, Sodom and Gomorrah. Which has much to show about what is God’s view about sexual morality as far as homosexuality is concerned. It ells of the men of that city wanting to have sexual relations with two new men to the city.  This is where we get the name of the sin of sodomy from.

‘And the Lord said, “The outcry of Sodom and Gomorrah is indeed great, and their sin is exceedingly grave.’ Genesis 18:20

The outcry of these cities that is great the exceedingly grave sin Is shown up to be homosexuality. We can speculate about other sin but this sexual sin is the one thing that is shown up. Much later on in history there are other sexual sins and sacrifices that the caananites and moabites as well as other nations had adopted as a normal way of life. These things or lifestyles were so abhorrent/evil in the sight of God that the Isaelites were told to completely destroy every living thing in those places. These practices included beastiality.

‘For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.’ Romans 1:25

It is a spirit of sexual immorality, It is not a sin against God, it is a sin against their own bodies. God wants to protect man so much from this kind of sin against our own bodies because He knows how much damage it can do to us. More than anything it is a desire that separates us from God. In doing so it opens up our bodies to sickness and disease, that the devil wants to bring upon us, to, if possible, destroy our bodies before we become new creations in Jesus.

It is a sin of worship of the creature rather than God. A sexual relationship as God had planned between men and women is honouring of God. To go after strange sex, gay sex, is to deny the will of God. to go against creation, and the purposes of God. Yes it is a sin against our own bodies, but it is abhorrent to God, because it is not what He created us for. The reason that He made us male and female.

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 1 Corinthians 6:9 NASB1995

God is love and He loves every single person in their sin. He loves us so much that He did not want us to remain enslaved to the sin that we have become entangled in. He sent His Son Jesus, to set us free. God says that homosexuality is a sin, how can someone continue in this sin and also call themselves Christian. The Word says that to be saved we should repent. That means to turn away from sin, and follow the Lord.

Instead the world has said that this sexual immorality is normal. The world has said that homosexuality is no longer a sin but it is good to allow people to be able to express their sinful desires without prejudice. There has to be prejudice where sin is concerned. In God’s eye sin is sin. Adultery is sin, so is lying. It seems to be OK to commit adultery, and lie, but it is not, especially to the people to whom these sins are committed against.

The world will continue to gravitate away from what is right and true and good. The world will continue to promote, as good, and acceptable things that are against the word of God. It will continue to do this to the point of it being against the law to promote what is true, and right and good, as far as the word of God says’.

As the world and people endeavour to legalise things that are against what is right, and go against the morality of God, God will not be angry, He will not pass judgement on their world. The word of God says that He will allow them to do what they want. But as this is a sin against themselves they will receive into their bodies consequences of the sin. Which can be interpreted as sexually transmitted diseases.

Now again I have to say that God will not and does not judge, nor should we. God calls all to repentance, not judgement. There will be a judgement day, but until then God is patient, not willing that any should perish. The truth is that without repentance and acceptance of the forgiveness of God through Jesus, There is a judgement to be faced by the LGBT community. Really if someone with homosexual tendancies really repents, they will renounce those desires. The trouble is ir is rarely recognised that those desires are a spiritual deception.

All of us, when we first come to Christ have at least a couple of sins that we are engaged in. I would say that all of those sins to one extent or the other involves an element of selfishness. A thing that I have noticed when people talk about sexual immorality, usually use the words,’sexual prefence. Sex between a man and a woman is normal. It is the way that God created us. Then people say, “ that their sexual prefernce is!” Those very words, ‘my sexual prefence is!’, is a statement of selfishness, that they don’t agree with what is right and proper.

‘being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.’ Romans 1:29-32

The following is a statement from the LGBT UK website.

Our campaign will bring LGBT communities together to challenge prejudice, raise awareness and change hearts and minds in wider society. We have seen from recent campaigns, such as the LGBT inclusive education campaign, that when our communities come together we are able to mobilise policy-makers, LGBT communities and the wider public under the banner of Equality Wins.

What this is saying is that LGBT people have the right to be classed as equal to the ’normal’, hetrosexual world. It is a challenge to the ordinance of God. As such it should not be allowed that they be discriminated against. I agree, they have as much right not to be discriminated against, as black people or white; as obese people or the very thin; As women and as men; As children and even the old. Everyone has the same rights not to be discriminated against.

Equality can never win, not the equality the world promotes. Real equality comes through the Gospel, Jesus came that all might have abundant life. LGBT and political correctness does not promote equality. It promotes division. It highlights differences. It is people saying that ‘WE ARE DIFFERENT’ and you have to accept that. The laws of political correctness are called, ‘diversity and inclusion.’ (different, and make acceptable)

We all have the right to choose what we do in life, it was God that gave us free will.

The trouble is that it does not matter how many laws are put in place, there will always be some sort of prejudice, because it is human sinful nature. Prejudice is heightened because of people drawing attention to it. This is a fact. The more that we highlight our differences the more discrimination is highlighted. We can drive discrimination and prejudice underground, but that does not get rid of it. It is still there, but it is hidden. Every now and again it raises its head, and so we make a gigantic thing of what human nurture is really like without God.

Many Christians have become so affected (and infected) by political correctness that they neglect to speak the truth, out of fear of upsetting someone. Others make apologies in advance of speaking the truth. So by doing it negates the power of the Gospel. There is no dicrimination with God, He will accept everyone who repents and accepts Jesus as Savior. It does not matter how big or small our sin has been. On judgement day basically it will be did you choose life or death? We will get what we chose.

Rely On God’s Council

‘My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight; Keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them And health to all their body. Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life.’ Proverbs 4:20-23

Psalm 119 is all about God’s word, though I seem to have an infinity to proverbs 1 It says so much about what God’s word can do for us. Words of truth and wisdom from a Father to His sons. To you and I. Words that have kept me in divine health for about twelve years now. I believe these words with all my heart.

It is part of having a GMA that is positive in faith to the word of God. The Word of God has everything that we need for life, and godliness. On top of that God sent His Holy Spirit to lead and teach us anything else that  we need to know. God works everything for the good of those who love Him, and are called by His Name. Even when things get tough, or go wrong. We have to make God’s Word the light to our path.

The words of the Lord are pure words; As silver tried in a furnace on the earth, refined seven times. Psalms 12:6 NASB1995

So much of God’s word is pure poetry, as is the above verse, but it is much more than that, it is pure truth. We can rely on it. We need to rely on it. If we do, we cannot go wrong. God’s word will build faith if we allow it. As Paul wrote to the Romans, ‘Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.’ ‘Walk by faith and we will not carry out the desires of the flesh.’

Every word of God is tested; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him. Proverbs 30:5 NASB1995

Life comes from the word of God, Springs of life. That is ever flowing, that equals eternal life. Proverbs 4 above Is our Father speaking to us saying to each one of us, “My son, give attention to My words, Do not let them depart from your eyes, keep them in the midst of your heart.” There must be something important in there I think that has something to do with the relationship with the Father.

It is the greatest relationship we can ever have. Remember that it was God who came walking in the Garden of Eden, to talk with man. Then about 3,000 years later God had His word written down, first of all by Moses. Then about a thousand years later Paul tells us that all scripture is profitable for teaching and correctionand……..  And that before there was a new testament. God’s word is important, both spoken and written.

God’s word is life to us, look at it from the opposite way of looking at it, Without God’s word we will die. God’s word tells us, leads us to life through faith. Not just life but healing to all of our flesh/body! That is such an important thing to remember. Healing to our whole body, That is body, mind and spirit. The word of God actually calls for us to live long and prosper. It is able, if we have faith in it, to keep us healthy till our body is ready to depart. Sickness is part of the curse of the law, caused by sin in the world.

We are, according to God’s word, set free from the curse of the law.  We have been given authority over this world and all that is in it. The enemy does not want us to know that, and exercise our dominion, especially over sickness because that is how he oppresses people. When we know God’s word we have authority to use it, speak it over every part of our lives, and the lives of others around us. It is our armour!

‘A thousand may fall at your side And ten thousand at your right hand, But it shall not approach you. You will only look on with your eyes And see the recompense of the wicked. For you have made the Lord, my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place. No evil will befall you, Nor will any plague come near your tent.’ Psalms 91:7-10

Dog With A Bone Pt 2

‘Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves. Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.’ John 14:10-15

Continuing on from the last post. Praying in faith. If we do not believe What the word says; what Jesus says. We saw a Canaanite woman like a dog with a bone, reasoning with the Lord. That shows that even if something is not a part of God’s will at the time that we ask, we can reason with Him and get the will of God brought forward in time. Jesus said, “I was sent the lost sheep of the House of Israel.” Though ultimately the good news was going to be for the gentiles too. The woman by reasoning with the Lord managed to secure healing ahead of the appointed time.

One thing that sometimes we forget is that Jesus was primarily teaching and preaching to His own nation, His own race. He was the promised Messiah of Israel. But the promise is for them and for the whole world. The promise was made to Eve in the garden of eden. (your seed will crush the serpent head). There was no nation of Israel, Adam is the father of us all. This was the promise of redemption for all mankind.

Today’s verse in the picture is one of two times in this passage that Jesus says that whatever we ask in His Name He will do. The passage of teaching actually covers several chapters of John’s Gospel. And the promises of answered prayer are repeated in chapter 16. Saying that we do not need to ask Jesus, but we can go to the Father directly and ask in Jesus name, and God will give.

‘ In that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you. Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full.’ John 16:23-24

I honestly believe that when Jesus said that we can ask anything in His name, He means it. There are some rules though. I have heard it taught many times that we have to ask according to the will of God. That if we don’t we will not get what we ask for. This dismisses the real rules. We have to remember that as born again believers, God is willing to give what is good to us. As born again Children of God we are supposed to be being led by the Spirit. We are to love one another, that the world will Know that we are His disciples.

There is a little something in the verse above. ‘Ask and receive, so that your joy may be made full.’ I was thinking about this, we are supposed to be joyful because of what Jesus did for us on the cross. Is this saying that God will make our joy full by giving us what we ask of Him? I put a note of selfishness beside the verse, because we are allowed to be selfish for what God wants for us, that our joy would be made full. That is God’s will for us. Seek first the Kingdom of God; like a dog with a bone, and He will make our Joy full by giving what we ask Him for. There is another rule to abide by, that is to give thanks for what we ask for before we get it.

A step back, if we are being led by the Spirit, then the spirit ought to be directing our hearts and minds to ask according to the will of God. Jesus never taught us to add ‘if it be your will’ to our prayers. Even so Jesus says many times ask and you will receive. In Mark 11 Jesus said if we tell the mountain to be removed to the sea, and do not doubt it will happen, The only condition that Jesus put in there was do not doubt. Jesus told Jairus, ‘do not doubt, only believe.’ Jesus tells us in Mark 11, have faith in God when we pray.

Jesus talked about being one with the Father as being why the works of the Father were being done through Jesus. Guess what we are one with the Father, through the Holy Spirit being a part of our being, Jesus and the Father have come and taken up residence within us. We are one with the Father. The same Spirit that worked through Jesus is in us and it is God’s will that The works that Jesus did we will do and even greater works.

If We have the Holy Spirit in us and are led by the Spirit, we should be praying according to the will of God. Any other way of thinking can be classed as doubt! Doubting is the opposite to faith. We don’t have to say over and over, “I believe I receive, I believe I receive. Trying to convince our mind that we are in faith, because that is not faith. Jesus said Have faith. He did not say that we have to build our faith. “Have faith in God.

Jesus often spoke to sickness, situations, and demons directly. We have been given by the same authority over all of creation through the work of the cross. We have dominion, the same that God gave to Adam and Eve. We can speak to anything and get results. We should be speaking to sickness, and pains, to our bodies to restore them in healing. We should be talking to our situations to bring God’s blessing into our lives everyday.

God does not turn on and off His blessings towards us depending on what we do or think. We can hinder the flow of God’s blessing towards us, by what we do and think. Grace and favour are always flowing out towards us. Health and healing, well being, and prosperity are all a part of God’s blessings that flow towards us. If things are not how they should be as a Child of the most high God, we are told to speak, talk to those things and take authority over them.

Our words have power, like God’s words have power

If we give heed to God’s word, we should live in divine health, until the day we die. That takes faith in the knowledge of the Lord. and His word. It was never God’s plan for man to get sick, It was never God’s will for us to die, we should not be getting sick and dying from sickness. On the cross we were forgiven, we were healed, Jesus became poor so that we might become rich. We have to take authority and have confidence in all of these things.

Jesus taught us to command the will of God in our lives as in the so-called Lord’s prayer, there is not one request in that prayer. Jesus never told us to ask for God’s forgiveness, when He said, ‘pray like this,’ He said, “Forgive us our sins as we forgive……” This was before Jesus died and paid for our forgiveness. We were already forgiven even before we Knew the about it. It is a question of faith.

Jesus taught us to speak to the mountain, speak to the Mulberry tree, take authority over sickness through our faith. God knows us, knows His plans for us, only for good. He tells us to command His will here on the earth. In the Lord’s prayer He tells us, “Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Whatever His will is we are told to speak it into being. Jesus healed all that came to Him, many with dogged faith. Jesus told people that it was their faith that had healed them. Jesus just spoke many times, that faith in substance.

Jesus spoke the will of God, as it was in heaven into being on the earth. That is what we should be doing. “The works that I do, you will do, and greater works than these.” God did His works through Jesus, and wants to continue His works through us.

‘Thus says the Lord, The Holy One of Israel, and his Maker: ‘Ask Me of things to come concerning My sons; And concerning the work of My hands, you command Me.’ Isaiah 45:11

‘For the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and its Maker says this, “Ask Me about the things to come concerning My sons, And give Me orders concerning the work of My hands.’ Isaiah 45:11

We have to be like a dog with a bone regarding our faith, believing What God says in His word and what the Spirit tells us. Ask in faith, Ask that your Joy may be made full. Go on we are allowed to!

Dog With A Bone!

‘Jesus went away from there, and withdrew into the region of Tyre and Sidon. And a Canaanite woman from that region came out and began to cry out, saying, “Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David; my daughter is severely demon-possessed.” But He did not answer her with even a word. And His disciples came up and urged Him, saying, “Send her away, because she keeps shouting at us!” But He answered and said, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” But she came and began to bow down before Him, saying, “Lord, help me!” Yet He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.” And she said, “Yes, Lord; but please help, for even the dogs feed on the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.” Then Jesus said to her, “O woman, your faith is great; it shall be done for you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed at once.’ Matthew 15:21-28

There are a few lessons within this Story. One of them is that this woman did not give up. Right at the start here I have let you know that there is a difference between not giving up on prayer, and praying for the same thing over and over. There is a difference between a prayer of faith, and to keep reminding God of your prayer everyday.

Jesus taught against repeating the same prayer over and over, also as I see it, not knowing when to stop praying, “thinking that they will be heard for their many words. Obviously talking about religious praying. We can make our prayers become just religious prayers. Even when we are just crying out to God in desperation. Asking for the same thing over and over indicates that we think that God did not hear us the first time.

There was a parable that Jesus told about a man who went to his friend’s house at night, to ask for food to feed another visiting friend. I have heard teachings that tell us that God is like this friend who eventually did as he was asked, because his friend would not give up. My view of this parable is different to this. As is born out by other scriptures which tell us that if we ask we will receive.

‘Then He said to them, “Suppose one of you has a friend, and goes to him at midnight and says to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves; for a friend of mine has come to me from a journey, and I have nothing to set before him’; and from inside he answers and says, ‘Do not bother me; the door has already been shut and my children and I are in bed; I cannot get up and give you anything.’ I tell you, even though he will not get up and give him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will get up and give him as much as he needs. “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.’ Luke 11:5-9

Here Jesus is not saying that you will not get what you want unless you keep on at God. Jesus is saying that our Father is better than this friend. Just ask and it will be given. We do not need to keep bugging God about our needs, desires and wants. Yes, sometimes the answer may be no. He will give freely what is good for us.

Back to our Canaanite woman, She came to Jesus and asked for healing for her daughter. Jesus ignored her, why? We can speculate. Jesus said that He had come to the Israelite and it was not right to take the children’s bread and give it to the dogs. Jesus called the woman a dog. The woman replied in a very clever way. But listen she did not ask/pray for the same thing again. She asked for one thing one time. She would not let go, being ignored she was probably shouting “Do you hear me, I am not leaving without an answer.”

The point is this, after the rejection from the disciples and Jesus, Then an answer that was not what she wanted, she reasoned with the Lord. I want to tell you that it is alright to reason with the Lord. That He might even welcome it. As it can demonstrate our faith in Him. This woman’s reasoning led Jesus to say that her faith was great. I say that God will always respond positively to a prayer of faith.

There are some translations of the Bible that say we should,’ ask and keep on asking, seek and keep on seeking, knock and keep on knocking.’ To me it does not sound right. I go more with the thought that we never have just one thing to ask for, we should be seeking the kingdom of God in every situation; and when we need answers  we should knock athe door of wisdom and God is happy to give generously. See James 1

‘For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!’ Matthew 7:8-11

John’s gospel tells us if we ask for anything in His name, we will receive it. James tells us that if we doubt we should not expect to receive anything. Asking over and over is not asking in faith, it is in unbelief/doubt. Sometimes we let our own minds get in the way. Our way and thoughts prevent us from asking in faith. If our reasonings are about why God may not give, we should not expect to receive anything. If our reasonings are standing upon the promises of God to give, we will get whatever we ask for.

This is the way to pray in faith, ask and then just thank God for what has been asked. Even before we see the manifestation, we should be thanking the Lord, have a heart of thanksgiving.

‘Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.’ Mark 11:24

Mustard seed sized faith should be able to accomplish anything, that is the teaching of Jesus. Then we say yes but…… You just cancelled out your faith. So many times I have heard people say things like, ’Jesus did not really mean that we could ask for anything.’ If that were true, why would he talk this way about a mountain, and a mere Mulberry tree? That they would be removed to the sea if we talked to them and told them to go.

People talk about big faith; great faith; strong faith, as did Jesus. Jesus did speak much more about little faith. How small must the disciples faith have been when Jesus chastised them for their little faith? Yet He told them that the faith the size of a mustard seed would get the required results. Jesus would have been right by saying, “where is your faith?

The Canaanite woman asked for healing, and then stayed near to Jesus  bugging the disciples. She was not going to  be ignored. If she was not going to get healing for her daughter at least she wanted to know why. As I said, when she got the answer, she was not going to settle for that, and reasoned with Jesus. Do not forget this, that Jesus had Canaanite and moabite women in His ancestry. His Father was pure Holiness.

Something that I have done and do not need to do is pray for something, and then make a point of reminding God of the thing. God does not need reminding. That can also be a lack of faith, as it is really asking for the same thing again. Jesus told us to ‘ Believe that we have received, When we pray, even before we have finished our prayer.

One time I was at a conference, in the last meeting. I realised that I did not know how I was going to get home over a hundred miles away. I started to pray, asking for money to pay for the train or bus.  Before I had finished praying someone tapped me on the shoulder and said, “God told me to give you this.” They handed me ten pounds. I had never met that person before. We praised god, and I prayed some more, thanking God for the money, which was not enough to get me all the way home. I thanked Him for the plan that He had for my trip home.

As I was going out the door of the meeting someone asked me how I was travelling, I said that God had it all in hand, they said, we can give you a lift into London. They dropped me at the coach station. Praise God. With the ten pounds I brought a coach ticket to Leicester, and had some change left over. I asked the Lord what it was for, He said, “ you have not eaten  today. The change was just enough to buy a KFC meal. God provides for all our needs, even if we forget to ask for some of them.

‘Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him. Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you. ‘Mark 11:23-24

Everything that can/could get in the way of God’s relationship with us, has been removed.

seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. 2 Peter 1:3

According to this verse, we have everything that we need for the fullness of life; the abundant life that Jesus promised to us. It is through His divine power that has granted this life to us. I am one who will readily say that I can do anything. I say it is through Christ who strengthens me. But the truth is I cannot do all things.

There are things that I am able to do, that are because of the help of the Spirit at any particular time. There are things that I learn to do through the power of the Spirit in me. There are definitely things that I cannot do. Yet I still have everything that I need to live the life that God desires for me and hsas called me to. The word does say that we should not get involved with things too difficult for us!

I notice in the verse above, that we have everything pertaining to life, and godliness. That is two things. Life, and godliness. I suggest that life includes the spiritual aspect of living as well as the knowledge for practical living. We are not just talking about eternal life, but all, everything we need to live out our everyday practical lives. Yes It may come through the Spiritual, but it is for practical use. Sometimes it seems like it is just common sense to us, but it is not that clear to others. Sometimes we need to take action Spiritually, to find the practical solution to things.

This verse from 2 Peter says we already have been granted everything that we need for life. The way it is put means that we have everything that we need to get the job done as we live out our lives. That also includes the spiritual side of living. We are born of the Spirit. That is our relationship with God has been restored. We have God’s word to guide us, and the Holy Spirit to teach us not only what is written, but to relay to us God’s will direct from God.

But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. John 16:13 NASB1995

Without this help we would not have everything that we need for life and godliness. Part of what we have for our godliness is that we have been made righteous. It is not our own righteousness, that is like filthy rags; It is God’s righteousness, we have been clothed in the righteousness of Christ. We have had our sin removed from us, and the stain of that sin washed clean from us. We are justified before God. Anything, everything that could have got in the way of God’s relationship with us has been removed. Going to say that again.

Everything that can/could get in the way of God’s relationship with us, has been removed.

Sometimes there are things that we allow to get in the way of our relationship with God. Normally we are looking at things with our own understanding. We lean upon the understanding of the world, our friends, others opinions, even the understanding of church doctrines. All of these at some point, we allow to get in the way of our relationship with our God and Father. We forget the grace of God, who has provided for us everything pertaining to life and godliness.

We are told in Hebrews 12 to lay aside every sin and encumbrance that entangles us. Encumbrances are things other than sin, that we allow to get in the way of our relationship with God. It is a choice, we have been granted that choice by the grace of God, in making that choice we are exercising the righteousness of Christ that we have been clothed in, not our own righteousness.
