This is taken from a new book that I am writing. A daily devotional book, that covers 3 topics. Grace, righteousness, and holiness. My previous books 5 of them are available on Amazon in 2 formats, kindle and paperback.

As We have already seen, there was nothing that we could do to get ourselves into a right relationship with God. God had to do what He did, for us, for His Names sake. This verses says that we were helpless, we could not save ourselves; we could not redeem ourselves. The penalty that was due to us was eternal death, eternal separation from God, that is not what God wants.
God wants to be at peace with us. He wants us to be at peace with Him. He sent His Son Jesus to pay the price due to us for our sin. We were helpless, we were ungodly, not worthy of anything that God has done for us. The thing is that many Christians remain in that place of feeling of unworthiness. That is not God’s plan for us at all. God’s plan is to come and walk with us in the cool of the day, and talk.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
No God did not wait until we were good enough, God loves us so much that He sent His Son for us to believe in and not perish but have eternal life. God’s saving grace is for not just those who have believed but for everyone whether they believe or not. The gift of grace is flowing for all. Whether they choose to come to Him or not.
It does not matter what race, where in the world we live. For God so loved the world! It does not matter what people believe right now. For God so love the world. It does not matter what age. For God so loved the world. It does not matter how ill we get because of sin in the world. For God so loved the world. Every man woman and child God so loves them all, that He sent His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but will have eternal life.
My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world. 1 John 2:1-2
Got to cover this in the next section, but this scripture verse one tells us that the grace of God continues to flow towards us even after we have believed. If we do sin we have and advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. He pleads on behalf of us to the father. I heard someone put it this way. Every time we mess up Jesus nudges the Father and says, “I paid for that.” The payment for our sins and also for those of the whole world. What an amazing God that we have. He wants to draw the whole world to Himself to protect us.
God’s saving grace is for His Names sake. God did not wait or was waiting for us to be good enough, we were trapped into the curse of the Law. Held under custody of the law. Bound by the law. Jesus came to set us fee from the curse of the law. paid the price, redeemed us, from the curse of the law. Jesus said, “Who the Son sets free will be free indeed.”
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us, for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree” Galatians 3:13
Free indeed, we need to go into that and what it really means. I do not think that we all know what it means to be set free let alone to be free indeed. There is a law if sin and death. Because of that we are born and destined to die twice. Yes something that is not at the top of our minds, as we only normally think about this life in the here and now. As humans born into sin our bodies are destined to die. Even Jesus had to die, the body that He had was a body of the flesh. He did not sin, but His body, His flesh was born into sin, and had to die.
That is the only way that we could be set free, by the sacrifice of Jesus. The lamb of God, without spot or blemish. He did not sin, so even though His flesh had to die, He was the only purely righteous man who lived. That is why He is able to take away, wash away our sin from us. We are now then washed clean by the blood of the Lamb. Set free from the curse of the law. If we read the curse of the law, the list of things that we are not protected from if we disobey the law; it is a dismal list of sickness and disgusting things that we would not wish to happen to anyone.
The list is in Deuteronomy 28, Jesus has set us free from that, when we read it we should read it with that attitude. I do, I thank God that those things cannot come upon me. I thank God that Jesus set me free from all of those things. I have heard a lot of people saying things like we are healed from all those things, but it is a spiritual healing. The curse of the law is a spiritual thing, but that spiritual thing comes against our flesh, our bodies. It a spiritual healing as well as a physical healing
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. Romans 8:2
Set free means just that, and also much more than that. Why did Jesus not just say shall be free? He said, we shall be free and free indeed. Free from sin, free from the consequences of sin. That is a tough one to accept. My experience is this. I am free from the consequences of sin, except my perception of what is God’s view when I mess up now and again. Free indeed is what Jesus say’s.
There are arguments against this. They seem valid, and they are to valid in a lot of people’s minds. God does not ignore our sin does He? If God sees us commit sin then He is going to get us for it, isn’t He? No God is not we face physical consequences for our sin.
He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24
What I have found is this; and it has not just been directed at me, it is an observation of other’s situations also, most of the consequences of our sin come from others. From people showing their disapproval. Pressure to break a person under the weight of the sin. This is not Godly but is also sinful. We are told to, ’do not repay evil with evil.’
Now, you may say that I have gone over the top there, but the Word of God is quite clear that if a brother is caught in sin to restore them in a spirit of gentleness. Forgiving one another. Why are there some Christians that are the most unforgiving of certain people? I have seen this multiple times. People who hold on to hurts and unforgiveness for years. We have been set free by our one Lord. Our Lord has forgiven us, and we should have the same heart as the Lord, the mind of Christ, and forgive.
Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted. Galatians 6:1
Why should we do this? Because the same Jesus that set us free, set our brother free also. As you are forgiven so should you forgive. We should never ever have or hold anything against our enemy let alone our brothers in Christ. God will never condemn us who are in Christ, neither should we. We have been set free. I cannot say that enough.
We Have Been Set Free, You Have Been Set Free
BY THE SON!
